Journey Meet the shaws
"Opposites attract, and birds of a feather flock together!"
Matthew and Ashley, college sweethearts, spouses, parents,
and entrepreneurs, were determined to forge their own path.
They had different ways of approaching that path with Matthew being very bold and outspoken, while Ashley tended
to let her actions do that talking. But there were a few things
that they connected on—faith, family, music, community
enrichment, and building a legacy of success. Moreover, they
didn’t just want to be successful professionally and in life,
they wanted to do so without hindering others’ opportunities.
This commitment led them to establish ShawPro and its
associated partnerships, with a focus on helping people
develop their leadership, enhance their associations, and
enrich their futures.
Matthew
At his core, Matthew has a passion for people and their
progression. Ultimately, Matthew has always wanted to help
people while making a good living. In college, he studied
micro-molecular biology and aspired to be a physician. He
minored in music and brought joy to many hearts while
playing with the UCF band and taking gigs professionally to
help pay for college. Since college, he has spent many years
serving the community as a volunteer, mentor, and
inspirational speaker. Along the way, they learned that the
path he was on was not the one that would allow him to fulfill
his heart’s desire to help people. Through mentorship,
introspection, and a lot of grit, Matthew launched multiple
businesses and immersed himself in mastering the realms of
leadership, business, and digital marketing.
Today, he leverages his knowledge, lessons learned, and network of fellow business leaders to empower, ambitious men and women to unleash their potential and accomplish their goals, continuing to make a positive impact on the community.

Ashley
Ashley has always been “the creative one.” In elementary
and middle school, she proclaimed that she’d be an artist. In
high school, she studied television production. By college,
she settled into writing and earned a degree in journalism
with a dream of writing for a magazine. Then, the Monday
after her graduation day, Ashley started her writing career for
Orlando Magazine – one of Orlando’s premier magazines. A
few years later, she found a new challenge to pursue—
marketing in the engineering/architecture industry. In this
space, Ashley tapped into all dimensions of creativity—
writing/editing, graphic design, business development, and
strategy.
Along the way, she realized that she could bring her creativity and strategic brain to complement Matthew’s business savvy.

Matthew and Ashley started a business in their 20’s so they
could maximize their time with each other and make a
positive impact in the community. They now help others do
the same through leadership and entrepreneurship training.
